Hogue produces a very reliable Chardonnay that is a crowd pleaser and a great value. Clean and refeshing, I am finding that I prefer Chards from the northwest to the the often over-oaked or buttery offerings from California, particularly in this price range.

A pretty pedestrian, "typical" California Chardonnay. I like them less flabby, boring.

Very upfront dried peaches and apricots
A little too acid and noticible residual sugar. Not a surprising wine, but ok

using it to smoke a chicken because let's face it, Washington chardonnay isn't for drinking.
