Decanted off its sediment and served. Youthful dark color. Eucalyptus, plum and boysenberry with underlying spice and herb elements. Drinking well, if on the young side.

Decanted an hour before service. Still fairly dark in color with notes of plum, black currant, leather and something a bit floral. Medium-bodied. Plummy dark fruit with a lingering finish. None of the austerity of the previous bottle. Delightful.

Second Sunday Group: 2002 Burgundies (R&D's): Double decanted off its sediment three hours before service. Plum, black fruit and chocolate aromas. The palate follows the bouquet. Medium tannins; slightly chalky and austere.

Similar to my last bottle in 2017, but with a bit more complexity. Still holding nicely, and retains the lighter body/higher acidity profile that Stefania normally provides and that I enjoy so much. Nicely structured and should drink well for another 3-5 years.

No formal notes, but this is very enjoyable and still holding quite well. No rush, here.
