Nose with tart raspberry, wet limestone, damp earth. Palate is a bit tight and minerally initially, but opens and integrates nicely with a bit of air. A nice wine, not great, but certainly tasty and likely with room to still improve.
Tart cherry and cola, flows nicely into the palate where there is layered black cherry, dark spice and a herbal, slightly rustic, component. Some oak shows up on the late palate and into the finish, this gained with air time. Tannins are present and a little tough at first. This really accompanied steak and asparagus very well.
