Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Consistent with prior tastings, this is ripe and lush with an enticing array of cherry aromas and flavors. Very good balance and forward, enjoyable fruit for such a young NSG. a bit of oak still protrudes. Fun to taste alongside the equally charming, more nuanced 2010 vintage.
Knightsbridge 2009 Burgundy Tasting Highlights (Northbrook, IL): Wine tasting. Really exceptional wine. Red and red cherry on both nose and palate with very elegant and nuanced spice. Great acidity and delicate tannins, this is already charming today with great long-term potential. The downside is quite aggressive pricing for an NSG Murgers.
Domaine Cathiard Cellar Visit and Tasting (Vosne-Romanee): Tasting at Domaine. Great aromas of red and black fruit. Dense concentrated cherry on the palate, powerful yet balanced. Great acidity, minerality with lots of nuance already emerging in barrel. This can be a very special NSG 1er, one I will definitely seek out.
