The last Turley Charbono in my cellar, and it turned out to be the best I remember having. Richly textured, purple/black fruit, present but smooth tannins. Served with a pot roast and that worked well, but a deeper more caramelized braise (short ribs?) would have been even better. Saturated fruit, really delivered the goods. Very nice now, but I think will hold in a good drinking window for some time, has both good structure and great fruit.

Complex, mature and very enjoyable Zinfandel. Pleasant nose of cedar, tobacco and earth, on the palate an intriguing array of dark cherry, a longish bitter cocoa finish framed with decent acidity and smooth tannins rounds this out. Well balanced for a Turley. Drink up and enjoy before the fruit fades.

Still good but rather flat fruit. Way past it’s prime. Some fruit still there. Easy to drink.

Pretty good, but most likely drank it past its prime.
