Dark garnet core, showing nose of plum, red fruits and hints of leather. The palate is soft and subtle, with plum, cherries and earthy undertone. Medium finish with soft chewy tannins. Pretty straightforward and a little boring too.

My perspective is much different than those few raters that gave comments here in CT and the pro rating it has gotten. There is no way I would have picked this as a Merlot had it not been on the label. The wine was a surprising rose red. The nose was dusty very light fruit and some spice. The taste was very thin muddled together red fruits and as I drank it, the wine became thinner. The wine almost immediately took on a taste of out of balance acid and that character applied to the finish as well. There was a very light tannic tone to the finish. I bought one bottle to try before I bought more---I doubt I'll be spending any more money on this wine

Thin and dull but not objectionable for a dinner party. No need to go back to Falesco.

I would downgrade this a bit. It has developed and is more open, but fades a bit quickly and is slightly less interesting. Still solid.
