Even though this Bordeaux has been produced some 25 years ago it still is in great shape. Cork was saturated 3/4 up but did not crumble. Colour is dominated by ruby-brown tones fading at the rim. Nose: earthy fruits with some rubber. Palate:few tannins left, berries, herbs and some rubber. Very enjoyable Pauillac, especially for this vintage. Drink up or wait 2-3 years...

Neal Martin’s Bordeaux Olympics (Restaurant La Trouvaille, London): Youngish mid ruby colour, which for some reason makes me think of 1994. Sweet cedary nose. Very pleasant. Lightish, fairly elegant. Not bad.
