A very different Russian River Pinot. At first I didn't realize this was over 15% ABV. Loads of cherry and cherry cola on the nose and palate. Soft tannins and a medium long, cherry cola finish. The alcohol can sneak up on you, but a very ripe Pinot is a nice change from the myriad of thin and acidic mediocre examples out there. In a good window, I won't hold my last bottle past 2016. Enjoy it it for what it is. 90+ pts. PJP 2015.

Strongly acidic; I found the heartburn quite striking, as we paired with Tunisian pork loin and humus and drank alone. For the record, I'd give this wine an 88-89 and my wife would be 91-92, so we're settling at a 90.
There is strong Mishin terroir and some garrique. Fruit has been tamped by time, but some kirsch and currant remains in the early to mid body. Unfortunately, mother wine seems to have a little froth, although it's not viscous and seems acidic in the finish.
