I am shocked to see this listed as a vintage of Balmoral. At the Cellar door Rosemont was pouring the '06 and the '07 was available as a cleanskin because it did not make the grade. I do not know what the previous commenter was drinking.

Three days in the Hunter Valley, 13 Cellar Doors, 115 wines; 2/24/2011-2/26/2011 (Hunter Valley, Australia): Called Syrah as they don't want to be associated with the Australian Shiraz situation, I guess... that is, this is suppose to be an "old world" style Syrah. Well, try again guys. The nose is big and bold, though fairly soft. Big, soft, and spicy palate. Decent acids on the finish, but overall this still tastes of extracted Australian Shiraz.
