I’ve always had a theory that any decent cab could easily go 15 with 10 years being a minimum , and try to wait at least 20 for Bordeaux. No problemo! Drank over two nights aged to perfection. Just deliciousness in a bottle and the Mondavi family never fails to come through. Even the lower end Michael is making called Freakshow goes 10 years without a hitch. Don’t let the label scare you off!
This one just keeps getting better. A full, rich bouquet of black cherries with a little cigar-box note. Medium to full body and a full, rich palate. Has a couple of years left in its prime.

This wine continues to improve. Soft tannins and great bouquet. Should probably finish over the next 3 years. Works great with regular food or spicy food or as a cocktail wine.

Now this was reminiscent of the many past vintages I’ve bought and held for 7-9yrs. Oakville-prominent in the nose and on the palate; made it taste more like the mid-level Oakville bottling. Went perfectly with the nicely marinated flank steak. Everyone enjoyed, which is good since this is my last bottle and most likely the last time I’ll ever buy & drink this iconic wine.
