Grassy, herbal nose, cat's pee; citrus and mineral notes as well. On the palate saline, great acidity, grapefruit and lime fruit with Semillon adding a bit of flesh and richness. Tart, slightly bitter finish. Well made, refreshing and excellent value. I see no benefit in keeping this much longer.

(Le G de Château Guiraud (Bordeaux)) A dry white from Château Guiraud. Not such an appealing character on the nose here, as aromatically it is dominated by cat's pee from the Sauvignon Blanc, obviously with some marginal ripeness despite what was undoubtedly a warm and successful vintage. It gives it a rather musky, animally scent. On the palate this is less evident though, and there is a solid feel to the wine which appeals. Nevertheless overall I find it to be minimally attractive.
