Popped and poured. Pale lemon-gold faintly tinged with green. Forward nose perfumed with complex aromas of stone fruits, grapefruit zest, yeast/lees, verbena, minerals, and even a subtle hint of lavender. Light to medium-light body. Truly expressive on the palate, this is as if one were to combine freshly squeezed lemon, lime, and yellow grapefruit juices and somehow transfer that essence into the fresh ocean spray of the tropics, all nuanced with a touch of white pepper. Perhaps this impression is heightened by the plus acidity...indeed, this wine is not for those who who prefer a softer style. But all that is conveyed through pronounced acidity is precisely the main reason this excellent Sancerre shows such verve, liveliness and raw appeal. The flavors soar on for some time after tasting. Truly delightful, especially for those who enjoy acid, and a wine to enjoy now through the next few years.
Quick comment: This showed most expressive within an hour of opening and was served at a temp below cellar but above standard refrigeration.

I was going to write a detailed tasting note, but **Vine** just nailed it in his. What he said..
An absolutely smashing Sancerre, and a tremendously good value.
I've bought cases of this from 08, 09 and 2010. Have never been disappointed.
