  • A beautiful wine at twenty-three years; perfect accompaniment to the iron skillet, seared beef filets and garden salad. Wine has turned a medium garnet with a ruby core; very aromatic red currants and earth tones. Medium body. Elegance, finesse, class, and balance can best describe this wine. Mature red fruits and perfectly integrated structure provides a great companion to roasted, broiled, or braised meats. Recommend not decanting, as I found it started to fade after about two hours in the decanter. Finishes medium. Drink now or within the next 12-18 months.

  • Absolutely rocking right now on pop and pour. Beautiful earthy nose with some cigar box and subtle purple fruit. In the mouth, utterly soft and smooth. There's no power here; it is all elegance. Spectacular. Happy 18th anniversary to us!

  • I am in total agreement with Sennma's notes below. In fact purchased from LB also. The only thing to add is a hint of a green note on the palate that I enjoy. WBA

  • This was really a treat. Decanted for about 30min. The nose is beautiful secondary Bordeaux notes, saddle leather, cigar box, old books, with blacker dried fruits. On the palate, the tannins are fully integrated but the wine still has structure and not soft but any means. A nice silky elegant finish. Think this was a Last Bottle deal...should have bought more.

  • Very exciting nose upon uncorking, but all faded very quickly.
No fleshy velvet flavour left inside, went down hill and very flat.
IMO over the top - will not evolve any further .... disappointed.
