  • We inherited this orphan bottle and I honestly didn't expect much from it, given my experience with other wines in the house line-up. It turned out to be quite a nice little burgundy, with real Gevrey character. Not terribly complex or powerful, just chugging along, being burgundy, smelling like burgundy, feeling like burgundy in my mouth. With some air, it even developed some depth and attractive secondary notes. A surprise to the upside for sure. Not going to seek it out, but I will rethink my previous ungenerous thoughts about Perrot-Minot across the board.

  • By no means am I a foremost expert on Red Burgundy but I do think time has passed this by. Very minimal nose with body of moderate tannins and acidity along with cherry, unripe orange, and a touch of earthiness. Reasonably long finish.

  • So-so - too acidic, and seemed to lack the balance I would have assumed would be there.
