  Made from 100 plus year old Mouvedre and Carrignan vines in the only vineyard existing in the incredibly picturesque village of Eus nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, considered the sunniest village in France.
  Dark opaque purple, with a fine sediment. Farmyard and black fruit, well balanced and long in the mouth. A wine to contemplate that develops over time. Very enjoyable. Definitely to drink with a hearty dish (we had cassoulet. .perfect!)

  I tried this bottle at the winery, having visited the remote vinyard the day before. This wine is made from hundred year old + Carignan vines located on a small parcel of granite sand and rock located just above the picturesque village of Eus, at an altitude of 430 meters. The village is supposedly the sunniest in all France. This is in fact the only vinyard in the area of the village.
  The wine is a deep purple and opaque (probably due to it is not filtered). Complex nose with floral overtones, it is very full in the mouth with a good central acidity to hang the meat of the wine off. Very long after taste that just keeps on going......the tannins are quite present although not too overwhelming, making this a good wine to hold on to for the next few years at least. Limited production of 500 bottles
