  • Anita: Really strong grassy nose; grt flavors of wet grass, and hard candy; med. bod, bright, refreshing, failry strong, but a very fun sipper. Solid for sure, classic US, good effort. a Bit “fun” and not as serious after the Philippe Colin.

  • Brian’s: Really nice light spice, melon, hint of fresh grass, complex flavors and very good mouthfeel. This is classy stuff!

  • Opened to use in the risotto and because SB is a favorite of Jennie. Since she had joined the tribe I thought it best to put our best foot forward to welcome her. This wine had a strong lime leaf in the bouquet and as Marjorie correctly pointed out from reading the label melon predominated when it hit the mouth. As Nick correctly pointed out, it reminded us of sorbet. Colin gave it an 82.5 and was not impressed. Jennie gave it an 86 because she was jaded. Interesting since she just got married three weeks ago. Nick gave it a 90 because he has had 92 rated wines. Me, I don't like SB but thought it was well made but only deserved an 85.
