Pure, unctuous joy, the 2006 Oremus Tokaj Aszú 3 Puttonyos opens with a botrytized veneer of apricot skins, orange marmalade, forest honey, cloves, and baking spice. On the palate, a languid core of ultra-ripe stone fruit is neatly intersected by a burst of mouth-puckeringly taut acidity. Smoked sea salt notes lend complexity to a lingering, mouthwatering finish.

light gold in the glass in not overly viscous. the nose is intriguing, with the expected aromas of the blend but some surprise whiffs of lychee, clove, ginger, and roses. in the mouth feels quite a bit sweeter than expected for the 3 Puttonyos rating, but this is tempered by a lifting acidity. while still young, some subtleties are starting to emerge. fresh long finish.

Similar as last time. Flavourful, balanced, well drinking, almost classy. Very good value.
