  • Medium ruby colour. Red berries, red cherry, young blueberry, black pepper, and smoky, slate-like minerality, with lively acidity, and mostly resolved tannin. The medium-bodied, medium complex wine was well-balanced and very harmonious, with great persistence. Even more harmonious from day two. Wow! This wine has developed nicely and provides pleasure way above its price! Very good value. Drink now.

  • The wine was medium- to dark ruby in colour and offered brooding dark fruit and some red fruit flavours, blueberry, dark cherry, black pepper and smoke on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed sour blueberry, cassis, cherry cola, black pepper and violet flavours, with lively, medium-plus acidity, firm, medium-plus tannin and very good length. The medium-bodied wine benefited from aeration. Good value at € 10.50.

Similar to previous bottle. Stemmy/peppery spice on the dark-fruited Nose. On the palate, this is purple-fruited with adequate acidity; grapey; a bit savory. Very good.

NOSE: French toast; slight stemmy/white pepper note; a bit tart: savory red berries; medium to medium+ expressiveness; high-toned.

BODY: garnet color of medium to medium-deep depth; clear; medium bodied.

TASTE: grapefruit; savory; very good and very N. Rhone-esque; slightly herby; good acidity; what little tannin exists is very fine and just a touch drying --- doesn’t provide much grip; 12.5% alc. is not noticeable; floral; light and slightly tart red/purple fruit – plum & red currant; not even close to over-concentrated or over-extracted, rather, this comes across as quite fresh; has that St. Joseph green pepper savoriness to it; after a few hours: a slightly tart hint of citrus (Ruby Red grapefruit) persists; medium-light concentration of fruit; slightly bitter/herbal; red/purple fruit. Most of the flavor is on the front palate; nicely balanced; drink in the near term. Excellent value play.

  • - Purple color with medium forming legs and aromas of strawberry jam, raspberry, cloves and mushroom. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant, cherry, raisin and oak with a light/medium body. Linear texture with a medium finish - Very fruit driven, easy to drink wine.
