really really singing now, this was bright with great acidity, lemon / citrus fruit in quantity, just a hint of sweetness to balance and great linearity / tension... just like i like them, fighting way above its village level (though the pricing on this reflects its quality -- unfortunately)
best bottle yet -- we may have simply caught this at the apogee of its drinking window, med+ bodied with real oomph, great acid with healthy sweet lemons to balance, tension, powerful but without any heaviness or weight, packed a punch and we liked it a bunch
Youthful appearance with clear, medium intensity, lemon color.
Slightly developing nose with a medium(+) intensity. A bit closed right off the bat but came around nicely after two hours of decanting. Lovely tropical fruit, grilled lemon, crunchy green apple, cap gun smoke, crushed rocks and perfectly balance oak. Developing more baking spice, butter and toasted nuts with time.
Medium bodied with medium(+) acidity. Medium(+) intensity of flavors but still rather tight knit on the palate. The flavors showing no signs of development with green apple galore, unripe tropical fruit, tart lemon juice and some hints of butter and vanilla on the very end.
A truly great wine that still needs aging to show off it's full potential.
Rich and open on the nose with lots of spicy oak, baking spices, butter, gun powder and white peaches. Less opulent in the mouth with a high, just slightly tart acidity, medium body and high intensity. A delicious wine!
