3 hour decant. Light red, clear. Lots of strawberry, roses on the nose. Moderate tannin, bright acidity. Light on the palate, with some smoky notes, strawberry, savory, sour apple. Long finish. Maybe this indeed needs some age? It's pretty darn delicious.
Really nice. Classy, bright acid, red fruit and cherry. There is a hint of vanilla and a bit of a roasted character that does not taste like it comes from the fruit (I didn't think Thomas used new oak?) which is subtle and a little unexpected, but adds some nice complexity.
Hold, hold, hold. This baby is heading into hibernation. A bit of fragrance left, but only a mere shadow of what it was 2 years ago. I agree with the prior reviewer, hold 4-5 more years. Also, this is a very acidic vintage, so pair this with some heavier food. One of the few PNs out there that can hold its own against steak or pasta. .
