In general usage, "fruitless" means unsuccessful. For the 2010 Ricard S.B. wines, it means both this and Having No Fruit. I went long on the Potine and other Ricard labels for 2010, and 2+ cases into them haven't encountered a single bottle that "blooms," alone or with food. Same story tonight: tight as a drumskin. Yet I learned from Ricard's costly 2008 "?" cru that even the best of these wines are for early drinking. So, no improvement expected -- despite another case-plus to be suffered through before the point has been proven to the .000000001% level of certainty.

Can't beat this for 13.00. Citrus/grapefruit, floral, and still tasting good four years later.

Pale yellow with hints of green. It had aromas of citrus and peaches. It was tart/acidic with a medium finish.

In a smaller Sauvignon Blanc glass it was all NZ cat pee, while in the Burg balloon glass it was primarily mineral-driven French.

Clean, fresh, citrusy with just a hint of grass. Lovely long finish. Great, great value at $12.
