Confirming my previous note: a great LBV. A session port. Smooth, rounded, supple. Not complicated, in terms of flavour: strawberries, plums. But not without some length, either. I think the real charm is in its body: it's gentle, almost delicate.
Clear and bright with a beautiful medium ruby colour and inky legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of liquorice, candied cherries, red plums, chocolate, clove and cedar. The wine is medium-sweet with a medium acidity, medium+ slightly coarse tannins, high alcohol, full body and medium+ intensity flavours of candied cherries, chocolate, red plums, liquorice, clove and cedar. Long finish.
It is a very good quality wine with a good balance between tannins, sweetness and fruit concentration, a lingering finish and the tyipicity of a LBV Port, but it lacks some complexity. Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some tertiary aromas in the next 5-8 years.
A quite straightforward port, dominated by cassis both on the nose and on the palate. Its real elegance though is in its lightness on the palate and on the finish; well-balanced structure and alcohol. Really very pleasant.
The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Gooseberry, Black currant (cassis), Blackberry, Blueberry, Fig, and Strawberry Jam. It tastes like Black currant (cassis), Blueberry, Strawberry, Fig, and Strawberry Jam. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Medium.
