Very deserving of its rating. Enjoyed stand alone with friends. So, ready to drink. Dark, dark in color. Moderate rim variation and no flaws. Moderate sediment. Classic aged California cabernet nose, with old world odors. Low tannin and acid. Medium alcohol. Long, long finish. So tempted to enjoy a 2nd, but, it's the only one I have! I think it's at peak and ready to rumble.

Great night with friends. Each wine had about 30 minute decant unless otherwise noted. No clue how to do user story. 2010 Schrader GIII, 2009 Abreau, 2013 Staglin, 2015 Beast, 2015 Maybach A, 2015 Lewis Cellars Syrah, 2016 Carter Las Piedras La Bam.
Ok don’t hate me but last week the 2016 Schrader RBS was spectacular and therefore was very much looking forward to this 2010 GIII... major Medicinal Robitussin flavor took hold and wouldn’t let go. Would have expected more fruit and beginning of leather, unsmoked tobacco, etc but this was either past its prime or an off bottle. Not for me, least favorite of the night.

Fantastic wine, with dark berry, soy, spice and mocha notes. Mouth filling and incredibly smooth.

Not sure a wine could get much better. Beautiful silky blue fruits with medium tannins. Lengthy

Pop and pour. Wine was very closed after open, but after 30 minutes, really opened up. Tons of dark fruit, with a loaded mid-palate and finish.
