One of the best $14 cabs you will taste, and from Texas to boot. Nice nose of sour cherry, tobacco, currants. On the palate, red and dark fruits, sour cherry, spice, and a nice funkiness. Finishes with soft tannins and a great acidic lift. Glad to have more, this is aging nicely and should get better.

Popped and poured. Nice nose, leather, pencil shavings, black fruits, and a floral hint. On the palate, lush black and red fruits, leather, cedar. Finish comes off as acidic and a little bit green but very well balanced with decent tannic grip and nice length. Very little appraent alcohol, listed at 12.5% on the bottle. I might be underrating this a tad. This was given to me by friend who said "You have to try this". The last wine from this friend was Little Penguin Shiraz, so I took it with a grain of salt. I am definitely a buyer of this wine as a cellar defender and I will probably age a couple of bottles to see how the develop. With the nice balance here this could develop into something very special in a few years time. Drink or hold and at the price, strongly recommended.

Pulled this out to see how it had aged. It hasn't moved at all. Identical to previous notes. This is a great bargain.

Football and Cabs from around the world @ Howards (Old Greenwich, CT): Elegant, minerally, leathery and earthy. A bit of graphite as well... from Texas?? Pretty decent little wine.
