Xmas Meal with Ann(e)s & David (Howies Waterloo Place): Clean, silvery green. Fresh fruits, pears and melons. Something like green olives there too. Lovely lively acidity, decent length. Not much butter or honey but touches too. Very pleasant.

All the other comments are spot on. Delicious wine. Depth and complexity. Drunk with salmon, roasted vegetables, new potatoes and garlic mayonnaise. Perfect!

Excellent colour of silvery green. Smokey, toasty nose and the dominant flavour and purest long finish was grapefruit. Best Chard of the day for me, showing plenty of life ahead.

Smoky oak and lime juice aromas. Nice fresh bright style with powerful flavours of baked lemons and struck match. Good length with a creamy lemon meringue pie flavoured finish.

Leeuwin Estate Birthday dinner (with ringins) (Bitton Restaurant, Erskinville): Stone and orchard fruit, mineral, toasted nuts, slight butter. Quite tight and mineral, mandarin oil, surprisingly rich. A little short but otherwise pleasing.
