Pop n Poured with dinner. enjoyed over the course of 1.5 hours. This was tried first, then we tried 'Simone' Simone was approachable from the pull of the cork and we finished it before Sydnee started to open up. As with previous notes, the dark fruit and tannins are there and still a bit edgy. As her namesake ages and the rough edges smooth out, so will this wine. Hold for 5+ years. I will revisit again in another year.

Decanted one hour. Nice nose of red and black fruits along with nice whiff of spices. On the palate, pure fruit with red plum, blackberry, cinnamon, tobacco, and spicy oak. Finishes with substantial grip. Probably needs another year or two to fully integrate the oak, but this has a very old school Napa feel to it.

Faintly herbal notes on the nose, perhaps sporting a touch of slightly raw oak. A red fruited palate, seamless and pure, licorice and vanilla, moving to spicy cinnamon red hots. Wonderfully dusty tannins that gently coat the palate without clamping down too hard. For me the oak is quite prominent at this stage, but there is a lot of lovely raw material here. I still have half a bottle to revisit after a day of air.
PnP generously shared by beachrooster. My notes are consistent with aagrawal's experience. This is unmistakably Napa, but I mean that in the best of ways. Classy, spicy, herbal, delicate and harmonious. A very tasty wine that should hit peak in roughly 2-3 years. As with the other wines I've tasted from Decalier, this project's underlying fruit has an excellent purity and shows skillful blending. Give this 2 hours aeration in decanter if drinking anytime soon. Drink thru 2021, reccomended

Dinner with Mike Grammer (Pera, San Francisco): Spicy, herbal (like some cab franc), black pepper; clean, precise palate, very young, tannic; nice clean finish. This was excellent, and I preferred the Sydnee to the Simone.
