Similar to previous notes, but even better. Drank at 2-4x it's deal of a price (five years ago) of $13. Whatever the case with the strong dollar against the euro today, you'll be hard-pressed to find a deal like this. Tasted like it had years left in it (and my wine is stored in good, but not ideal conditions, averaging probably 65F with some seasonal fluctuation).

Pale straw color, green/gold highlights, going to clear at the edge; starbright appearance with no visible sediment, light viscosity. Nose of grapefruit, green melon. On the palate: stone fruit, pear, grapefruit. Decent acid and lovely slate minerality, medium mouthfeel (which is more than I expected from the visual impression). A relatively simple but attractive package, screaming for food (went beautifully with a roast chicken with mustard/tarragon glaze, but I think it could work with a pretty wide range of flavors). Good purity, clean expression of the style, even if not terribly complex. Solid Tuesday night offering.

A medicinal note on the nose; pear and apricot on the palate, with a sharp grapefruit note on the finish giving it enough acidity to save it from flabbiness. This went well with cornmeal-fried oysters.

Notes similar to 2013 with less grass/hay and more pronounced minerality. Drinking well.
