First of these and from this producer, and pleasantly surprised. Enjoyable for the tarrif and happy Independence Day with burgers and dogs. Aromas of tar, earth, smoke, and dark and dark red fruits. Medium body, medium+ acid and finish, smooth and integrated tannins, and flavors of dark and dark red fruits, a touch of mineral, and a slight woody element, but not an over-oaked wine IMO. Mid-palate is a little hollow. Enjoyable overall.
Slight toasted oak, hints of sulfur in the nose, tart cherry, dry finish but with lingering fruit and acidity on the palate. This after opening, not had a chance to breathe. Good complexity and flavor.
