  • From magnum this wine is just about perfect drinking. It has some sous bois development and some earth and truffle. It is plump and vinous in the mouth with some brown sugar sweetness. There are no hard edges.

  • Setting: University Club / Clive Coates tasting
    Appearance: clear, medium+ intensity garnet core, narrow pale garnet rim
    Nose: clean, heady and intense, prune and fig notes, almost port-like with touches of caramel
    Palate: dry, average acidity, higher alcohol, medium oak treatment with well balanced tannin level, fuller body with long finish, evident fruit component with very good balance, flavour profile of creamy-velvet, mocha, caramel, chocolate and some tarry notes
    Comments: at its peak
