Similar to prior notes after PNP; outstanding & what mature Sauternes should be: balanced sweetness & acidity & likely in a long peak plateau. However, I suspect that the 09 will eventually surpass it. Regardless, it was still a great way to end a lovely evening with my wife Diane, Mark, Carol & Jaime!

Another great bottle brought by Joel to finish up our dinner at Fleming's tonight. Notes almost exact as last year when he brought one of these, however I thought this bottle was just a point or two lesser overall. Still had nice cut from the acidity but I felt the fruit/viscosity was just a tad simpler. Having said that, this is still very much an exceptional Sauterne and I'm very glad to have had the opportunity to try it once again. Thank you, Joel!
This was a gorgeous wine from its bright copper-gold colour, through its citrus marmalade, tropical fruit and Manuka-honeyed nose to its creamy botrytis-infused palate with just enough racy acidity to keep it light on its feet. Perfectly judged sweetness. And no rush to drink yet either. Yum.

(Château Suduiraut) Medium golden yellow color; lovely creme brulée, apricot, baked apple nose; tasty, rich, full bodied, creme brulée, baked apricot palate; long finish
(Suduiraut) Huge almost syrupy texture but lifted by great acidity. Botrytis is there but there is also well-defined non-botrytis fruit like grapefruit, etc. Really nice.

PNP. Golden amber color. Apricot, honey, crème brûlée . Sweet, viscous palate. Fine, lingering acidity.
This is among the best Sauternes I’ve ever had. So nice of jsmorris707 to bring this to dinner with Mark1NPT and our lady friends. So fun…

Deep gold colour.
Pronounced aromas of marmalade, candied orange, ripe apricot, ripe peach, lemon confit, citrus pith, ginger, nutmeg, toasted hazelnuts, dried flowers, honey.
Pronounced palate.
Medium (+) body, high acidity, long finish.
