Dark and concentrated with a cold weather lift keeping it interesting. No minerality or evident earthiness. Feel like the varietal and the weather are showing but the ground is missing. Drinks well over many days.

Popped and poured. At first it had notes of stewed fruits, then they blended into more black cherry tones, finally settling into more typical Syrah anise, pepper and dark fruits. At three hours in, it was just hitting its stride. Tannins came out with air as well. This was my last one, but if I had more, I would either do a four to five hour decant or I would cellar it for at least a few more years.
