Châteauneuf-du-Pape requires a decade and patience is rewarded here !! I tasted this wine four years ago and it was very tight. This bottle had a perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle. I consumed over two days, the fruit was more predominant on the first day. This balances CDP had softened considerably with extraordinary depth and integrated complexity on day two. Deep dark ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of black cherry with a hint of licorice. Flavors of fig, blackberry, and leather with a medium to long finish. A very balanced flavorful Grenache based CDP. This is an age worthy wine with more years of life left, unfortunately this was my last bottle of this vintage. Great fruit and a great winemaking effort from Xavier Vignon. A CDP that delivers if you can wait.

A ripe and modern cdp with big ripe fruit and substantial extract. Raspberry cocoa nibs and stewed plums. Red cherry and some barnyard. Very ripe palate lacking the freshness of good acidity. Hot.

Woody nose with cranberry, wood and leather in the palate. Fairly impactful tannin and acid components. Drink any time.
