  • Amazed there was still life in this bottle. Decent fruit but definitely past its prime. Cherry, leather and tobacco and the most sediment I've seen in a bottle in a long time.

  • Opened and decanted right away. There was so much sediment that it was almost scary. With only slight browning, the wine was a beautiful brick color. The nose was still classical Leonetti, with oak, cherry, fruit and the slightest hint of olives and licorice. Definitely smelled like an old wine, but it was still good. The palate had the smoothest, softest tannins and a good dose of acidity. Only a little fruit left, but it's there. The finish is long, but only leaves the "old" tastes behind. No real fruit on the finish. Went very well with a sirloin strip.

  • Forest floor and old wood nose. Touch of cinnamon. Ready to go, bit beyond peak. Throwing loads of sediment. Cherry Kool-Aid?
