Opened this bottle for post-Mother's Day celebration with my spouse and her sister over dim sum ordered from Swee Choon. Another bottle for yesteryear collection.
Reaching middle age identity crisis; has lost a lot of its fruity notes and slowly evolving secondary notes. Some minerals and ash notes evolving on the nose and palate. Guava and cut grass and passion fruits still evident. Some zing left with a comfortable hold on the palate.
Top of the Saint Clair range; not holding out for much longer. Do drink up if you have a bottle in your cellar.

Very obvious nose of grapefuit, grass, NZ style. Palette isn't overpowering though with those notes, pretty balanced, expressive grapefruit, peach fruit with acidity, medium finish.

Classic NZ SB nose. Grapefruit, fresh cut grass and lemon curd. I have found that the best NZ SB's have a creaminess to the nose. I know that sounds weird, but I can't describe it any other way. Acidity here is very much in check. Palate is full of ripe tropical fruits; kiwi, star fruit, guava. Full midpalate, and a weighty, somewhat disappointing finish.

Very crisp NZ white. Great concentrated grapefruit taste.
