Surprisingly youthful with tart fruit and prominent minerality. Some gold tones and a rounded feel to the tart fruit were the only signs of age. Big mouthful of flavor. Its peak is maybe 4-8 years away. My only quibble is that when all is said and done the cool vintage did not lend itself to full phenolic ripeness.
Early Father’s Day dinner with H&M. Bloomed beautifully without a decant. Golden in the glass. Earthy and nutty marzipan notes blended with orchard fruits and a dosage of minerals. And a long finish. Can’t imagine this will get better. Drink now at slightly below cellar temp. Worth Seeking Out.

Darker, golden color. Big, intense nose of bruised yellow apples (from the orchard ground). Lively, citrus and bruised yellow apple flavors. Full, medium (+) intense body. Medium (+) acidity. Tangy finish. Reminiscent of hard apple cider. Probably over the hill, now. Went well with acorn squash stuffed with a ground turkey/green pepper/rice mixture.

Purchased from TB upon release, in storage since. In a good place, maybe a year or two left before it’s decline.
