Disappointing... Very one note and boring. I normally love Pinot's complexity and layers but this just feel flat for me. I even enjoyed their lower level Rickshaw much more.

Mix of strawberry and blackberry on the nose, continuing to the palate with notes of pomegranate as well. Finish adds a bit of vanilla but also closes down pretty fast. Perhaps it needs a bit more time in the cellar, but it isn't an overly complex Pinot and I doubt the finish will evolve into anything spectacular. You could make the case that it is good value, but a bottle of Joseph Swan Pinot costs only a few dollars more and displays a similar flavor profile with more complexity.

Consumed over two days. As compared to the 2010, which I like a lot at this price, the 2011 tastes thin, astringent and acidic, though there's no noticeable alcohol on the nose. The fruit is muted. The finish is pleasant but short.
I hope this comes around with time, or perhaps is just attributable to bottle variation, but at the moment this is a downgrade from the much fuller, riper and richer 2010.

This has improved substantially with some time in the bottle. Not impressive, but no longer the poor showing that it was on release.

Great strawberry fruit. Really opened up after an hour or so of decanting
