Brilliant wine. Beautiful nose of brown apple, seltzer, with some light oxidative sherry notes. Taste was equally complex with apple, oxidative flavors, nutty hints, salt, with a really, really strong acidity to keep it fresh. Still plenty of life left.

Sherry, roasted nuts, a hint of rose petals and sea salt on the nose. Super high acidity, ripe apple, stone driven on the palate. Very salty, nutty long finish.

Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: October 2018 edition: Tasted blind. Made of 100% Savagnin. Clear, pale-medium golden color with a reddish hue. Clean, medium intense and quite youthful nose easily pointing to oxidative styles like Sherry fino or Vine Jaune. Ripe apple, some ginger, mineral notes. Bone dry, medium+ acidity, quite high alcohol 14% that is very well integrated. On the palate good tension and pressure, ripe, mellow apple, oxidative notes of salted nuts. Medium+ length. Certainly, a good wine, but too exhausting and complicated for my personal taste. Might go very well with food though. Potential is hard to tell, but I guess this wine would survive another decade. 90-91

damnit, badly corked. Some good flavors lurking under that though. Sad.
