Served blind, this was more dense than the wine served before it - which turned out to be 10 PYCM Montrachet, so clearly this is an overperforming 1er. Where it lagged was with respect to tension. In sum, this is impressive in its current state and probably better to err on the side of drinking too young than too old.

Clean bottle but slightly tired / lower energy showing. Distinctly lower breed than Bâtard or BBM. Still completely delicious and detailed aged white burgundy, just not overwhelmingly expressive or complex. Not flabby, not oxidizing, if anything a somewhat muted bottle. ‘11 Folataires recently was a more energetic wine and this should have been considerably stronger. 92-93.

Flint and reduction on the opening with pear and grapefruits coming to the fore. After some coaxing, limestone and jasmines emerge on the bouquet with lemon rind, nashi pears and pineapples on the palate. This wine had everything, heft, precision, complexity and balance

This bottle a little more evolved - time to drink? Still attractive and air helps.

Premier Cru Table (The Fifth Avenue Hotel): Lovely brightness, lots of mineral, easy to drink. Throughout the week even better, indeed very big structure. 93+
