Medium depth purple red, clearing rim. Bouquet of bilberries, damsons and strawberries. Soft, generous palate black cherry jam, damsons and bilberries, ripe tannins and lovely acidity making a perfectly balanced, rich, fruity red with a long dry finish.

From magnum. Dark red, without any transition. Earthy on the palate with sweet notes of tobacco, cherry, spices/pepper. Has a sweet taste on the palate. Cough syrup, heater, and some steel.

This bottle was going strong, with no sign of decline. Other than a bit of pruny fruit and rich body, this holds it alcohol and ripeness very well.
