  • Not exactly a screamer, just decent, although way over the top price-wise. Nicolas Potel's 'own' vines (marketed under the label 'Roche de Bellene') are better value, eg. the Nuits St Georges VV 2009'. Somewhat 'tired' looking robe, subtle bouquet, mostly pepper and some forest scent. Long finish immediately after opening, fading fast after 30min of breathing. Acidity level is ok - what annoys me most is a general lack of 'backbone', nothing really in terms of memorable impression. Not unpleasant, but quickly forgotten (the moment it passes your palate). There is no indication whatsoever that this will age gracefully - I'd drink up fast.

  • Acidic, thought is was spoilt but nad a other bottle a month later and that was dreadful as well. I have one left and I an saving it (avoiding it) and I will try it in a year or two or when I am too drunk to care. I would be interested to know if anyone else finds it similarly aweful.

  • Clear medium ruby wine.

Clean medium + intensity. Straw and raspberry, earth, red currant, plum. Developing

Dry, high acidity and med + tannins (soft). Med body and medium alcohol. Med + intensity of red fruits! earth! cedar! hints of pepper. Long finish.

Very good. Good finish and flavours and good soft tannins. Intensity could be greater. Can be drunk now but will keep.
