  • Very strange to see a 2011 with better notes than surrounding vintages, but this bottle is showing great. Mineral pinot nose, not sweet, subdued. Decent length. An excellent 2011. An excellent burgundy tout court.

  • Very consistent tasting note as with my three prior reviews. The nose rocks... high toned red fruits with a touch of funk in the glass. I can't put my finger on it... is it damp earth and mushroom? Is it oyster shell? Is it the smell of the ocean at low tide? Whatever it is, I like what is in the glass. The finish is lovely, but a bit austere suggesting it could use some more time in the bottle. Tasted blind... nailed it as Gevrey as it was showing its sexiness on the nose.

  • Had the pleasure of having this wine three times in the past year. Love it! It has everything I love about Burgundy. Bright red fruit laced with truffles, crushed rocks, wonderful aromatics, and a silky sexiness that only comes from Gevrey. Can't keep my hands off it.

  • See prior tasting note a few weeks ago. A very consistent wine that does not disappoint. I can't keep my hands off this wine it is so good for the price. Only add to my prior tasting note is that this bottle did show some "green stem" in the finish with a slight bit of effervescence. Nevertheless, still a great wine that I could sit and smell all night long. A sexy Gevrey!

  • This was a nice surprise to the evening. Popped and poured, this wine is a show stopper. A sexy Gevrey in every sense. A great nose, mid-palate, and finish. I could sit and smell this wine for hours. It is already showing a secondary flavor profile with underbrush, black truffle, and mineral. Love this wine... if you can find it, buy it. It is a great bottle to open for your friends who love new world pinot to expose them to a new experience with Burgundy. They will never drink Pinot Noir the same after having this wine.
