Ripe, in the sense of well-developed black fruit and savory flavors and fullness, but not at all over-ripe, this is really quite fresh and lip-smacking, with good floral top notes, pepper, and depth. Versatile.
With Ribeye steak, roast carrots, and rice. Dark purple/crimson, almost opaque. (Jane thought it reminded here of olives on the nose). Fruit/acid mix - kind of odd, chewy, dry, mid-weight. Maybe a bit of tar.
Dark purple, good concentration. Jammy, ripe fruit, smoke, medicinal notes. Very ripe on the nose, developed, yet fruity, a strange mix between primary and tertiary aromatics. Full bodied palate, raspberry and blackberry fruit, rubber. Decent finish, medium length. Not sure about this one. Poor definition, lacking structure and balance. Artificial acidity explains part of it. Nope. Very poor value.
