Transparent red with only slight bricking. Nose: Muted dill and mature aromas towards dried wood, hints of cedar and spice-box and a brittle mineral tone. Outstanding nose. Mouth: Blinded, I'd have sworn this was a DELICIOUS Bgn with some age to it. Happy red fruits with dried fruit on top and a small spicyness. Elegant yet powerfully intense and deceptionally light. Fine transparency, wet-stones minerality, completely molten tannins and M++ acids that happily married the plates. Oak treatment remains fine tuned and completely integrated.
This wine sang! Not quite a typical traddo Rioja in style. I really liked it.
Wife: [like a poor Bgn] At stunning L'Effervescence with Matlen and Wife.
