  • Remarkable for 30 year old kabinett. Still very fresh and energetic, almost too nervy. There is lychee and unripe apricot. Overall this is a bristling kabinett. Lacks the balance and finish of better years and yet still has something to offer.

  • Totally mature, and very nearly bone dry, the Scharzhofberger Kabinett shows it's inherent class and elegance. Dried peach and lime zest, forest floor and browned pie crust flavors persist, even though the wine has been open for nearly 24 hours. The aromas persist in the glass after the wine is gone. Not much more to ask of a Kabinett approaching 30 years of age.
