Paired with Wagyu prime rib. Stunned at how much fruit remains in this wine. Has several years left. Nice dark color. Great dark fruit on the nose. Tannins are well integrated and smooth as silk. Nice long finish. And the acidity to deal with the wonderful day of the roast. What a wonderful wine.

Wonderful fruit still remains. Dark color, no fading on the edges. Dark fruit, and some cherry on the palate. Tannins are silky smooth. Nice acidity/balance for a Wagyu steak. Medium to long finish. Some nice tobacco notes on the finish.

Purchased at winery in Oct 2019- popped the cork 1 hour before (did not decant)- this was singing and immediately reminded me of the 97 Kronos. This is more developed then the 97 and certainly in its peak drinking window. Beautiful balance and finish. These should be enjoyed in the next 3 years. The 97 Kronos was still better all around but this is a close 2nd.

At home with some ordinary leftovers...splash decanted, drank over 2 hours. Been a couple years since I visited this wine, good to check in on it.
Color still dark and vibrant, no separation. Nose of dark fruit, earth - reticent when first opened. Palate is black/blue fruits, dark cherry, plums, earth/smoke, floral note. Medium weight and long finish...
Still in a great spot, well aged and elegant. The air time made a difference, last sips were the best. Would shoot for a 1 hour+ decant on this with future bottles. Should continue to drink at this level for a while.

(Corison Cabernet Sauvignon Kronos Vineyard) The ’02 is playful, charming, and bountiful—its aromas of cassis, lead pencil, vanilla, brown spices, red-apple skins, and warm black cherry spill out of the glass. Ripe tannins and ample acidity provide structure for the juicy texture; while the wine is powerful, it never loses its light touch and timeless elegance. Terroir: Kronos Vineyard

Drinking really nicely, tannins largely resolved but the fruit is still vibrant. I'm sure this could go a long time, but it's in a nice spot now.
Pop and pour from magnum, consumed over 3 hours or so. No fading during that time. Some sediment, but not much in the scheme of things.
