Ah PB, Rasa’s discontinued secondary label. This Cab/Merlot is now fully composed and relaxed a decade later. Day two shows the very beginning of some savory aromas, though the classic plum, tobacco and spicy notes remain upfront. Spicy tobacco, plum skins, and black cherries fill the mouth before segueing to a nice and lengthy finish that brings cedar, black pepper and intensely drying tannins to the forefront. This wine is in a great place at the moment, really hitting its stride.
Finally just starting to hit its stride, the wine is beginning to unfurl and relax, showing fruit, spice, and tobacco notes alongside good acid and fine tannins. In many ways, this is the beginning of when I should have started opening these 2011s. Great value for a well made and restrained WA Cab/Merlot blend. Still have to tip the hat to Rasa!

Inky dark purple with light nose of blackberry and cherry. Soft fruit with a hint of bitter, medium fruit and body, light on the acid and tannin. As others have said not for the long haul, drink up now. On night three the blue fruit aroma is wafting out of the glass 2 ft. away. This has developed into a nicely balanced medium fruit and body wine with notable acid and tannins. More restrained than fruity and definitely better with food and far from tired to my palate.

No depth. Maybe waited too long to drink.
