Two hrs decant. A little brown edge and a smell of old cheese firstly. Then it changed over the following hours and got more modern with blackberries, vanilla and mint. The secondary notes is not that explicit as in other of my 2001's, so I asume this one could last for 10+ years. A pleasure.
Drank my last bottle of 2001 tonight and immediately order 6 bottles of the 2010 for delivery in the fall. This is a very good Brunello with nice tannins, great cherries in the back with mushrooms...good acidity. I met Siro Pacenti in a restaurant in San Angelo en Colle...what a gentleman!
