Silky, resolved and approachable. Loamy with deeper purple coloring. Refined and elegant, dare I say Corton-ish in complexion. Ready now, and could hold a few more years but I think this is in a good zone. Was paired with the '04 Beaucastel and that was a fun flight.

(Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes) Intriguing vanilla and savory nose; nice rich plum, black fruit, tar and pepper palate with juice and a little heat; medium-plus finish

Past prime. Still good. Heavy sediment.

This bottle was in the zone. Fading candied red fruit, spice, earth, and a long persistent finish.
