With its brick red colour and russet fringe, this Bourgogne looks ready. The nose doesn't show a particularly ripe vintage, but there is more than decent ripeness evident, albeit in a nicely barrel-aged good generic Bourgogne manner. The palate is rather acidic at first, but it shows adequate sweetness with food after about half an hour, and continues to drink nicely over the next hour and a half thereafter. The tannins are pretty much fully resolved. Generally, very good plus. It is a real prospect that this could see 30 years.
