Mature and ready to go but has enough "stuff" to last a few more years with good cellaring. Silky smooth but not a lot of depth. Enjoyable with burgers.

Mixed feelings here. On the plus side, this has good acidity which makes it food friendly. But the fruit is very tart, and it comes across as a bit sharp. Not bad for $17 but I had hoped for more. On the plus side, it did not strike me as fading fast, so I think it is worth trying to hold for a couple more years to see if it integrates a bit better.

Drank this some over two days and it resulted in perfect pairings both times. First, with NY Strip Steak and, then, with homemade pepperoni pizza. A beautiful burgundy color, berry nose and dry balanced burgundy blend. Lovely.,,

Good with (Beyond) burgers, juicy with some bright fruit up front. Ripe. Nothing really notable, nothing really bad. What I expect you'd get from a quality supermarket wine. Some potential notes of "manipulation". Fine enough, the QPR at $17 USD is so so. This is a great choice for casual BBQ / grilling with a mixed crowd who want some good wine with their meal.

Muddy dark red color. Furniture polish aromas. Earthy dark cherry flavors with some tar and acid on the finish.
